Utah Day 3 – Bryce Canyon and Capitol Reef
We all enjoyed a breakfast in the yurt, croissant, egg and bacon. Once again, we packed up and left for Bryce Canyon National Park. As we climbed in elevation, the sky started to turn gray. We also start to see different rock formations, most distinctly hoodoos. As we got closer to the park, Jie was stopped by a police for speeding. Luckily, the policeman was very nice and only issued a warning. Our last road trip to Canada, I got a hefty fine for speeding in New York state. Utah people seemed much nicer, lol. Utah Day 2 – East Zion
After another good breakfast at the Porter’s, we packed up and left Springdale. Driving through Zion National Park is like driving through wonderland, with surprising mile-long tunnel, magnificent rocks and checker board mesa. After we decided to make this trip as a family, Facebook started to push posts to me with pictures of Utah. I would then send them to Claire and Claire did the research. Utah Day 1 – Zion National Park
After a hearty breakfast at Porter’s Restaurant, we set out to Zion Nation Park. Though we stayed right on the shuttle stop, we were too impatient to wait for the Springdale shuttle and decided to walk the mile to the Zion shuttle stop. The line wasn’t very long, we got on the third bus and rode to stop #6 Grotto. We were very fortunate to win the lottery to hike the Angels Landing. According to the ranger, there is only 5% chance to win the lottery. Our time slot was 9-12 in the morning. It was about 10:30 when we arrived at the Grotto shuttle stop where the ranger checked…

Utah’s Mighty 5 – 2024
Deciding which parks to visit was probably the hardest part of the planning as there are just so much to see in NV, UT and AZ area. In the end, we decided to fly in and out of Las Vegas and tour the iconic Utah’s Mighty 5 and leave Page, Sedona, etc to the next trip. We flew out of Philly very early morning of 3/9 and returned early morning of 3/17. That left us 7 days in the area. While we enroute to Vegas, Claire and Mau did the Costco grocery run for our breakfast and lunch needs. We settled in the hotel in Springdale in the evening which…
